1         Introduction

This page is intended as a guide for citizens to configure their browser for the electronic submission of appeals and complaints.

2         Client configuration requirements

Browser requirements are as follows:

         Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista SP2, 7 SP1, 8 or higher. Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 or higher. Linux 2.6 or higher. Mac OS X (10.6.8 or higher).

         Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 or higher, Mozilla Firefox 4.0 or higher, Google Chrome 15 or higher, Apple Safari 5 or higher.

         Access: with electronic certificate or through the Cl@ve identification service.

      Cl@ve:Users must use one of the of the supported identification systems (Cl@ve PIN, Cl@ve Permanente or Digital Certificate). Information on Cl@ve.

      Electronic certificate: The citizen must hold a digital certificate, issued by a recognised issuing entity, through which they can verify their access.

     Electronic signature: The citizen must hold a digital certificate issued by a recognised certifying entity, with which they can sign their request electronically.

Two methods can be used, depending on the browser:

         Google Chrome, Apple Safari and Mozilla Firefox: it is necessary to install the Autofirma program. It can also be used in Internet Explorer.

      Instructions for Internet Explorer only: If you have the latest version of Java installed, a Java applet will be installed to allow the signature. You can check the version of Java installed using the Java version verification tool , by pressing the "Verify version of Java" button. If it is not the latest version, you can obtain it from the Java website.

3.1        Java enabled in the browser (Internet Explorer)

      Click on “Tools” then “Internet Options”.

      Select the Security tab and press “Customise”.

      Find “Automation of Java applets”.

      Select the “Enable” radio button.

      Click “Accept” to save your preferences.
